Our traditional Cumbrian cooked breakfast set up quite a few people for their day last week. Dry cured bacon, Cumberland Sausage, Grilled tomato, Sauteed mushrooms,Fried egg, Hash Brown. Also can come with Baked Beans, Scrambled or Poached Egg.

As we walked outside Goodwin House last night to walk the dog and looked down Southey Street towards the town, we were just captured with part of the amazing view of Skiddaw.

Proving very popular one of our vegetarian V breakfasts. Grilled Halloumi, Roasted mixed peppers, Sauteed mushrooms, Hash Brown, Poached eggs. Also can come with baked beans, grilled tomato, scrambled or fried egg.

Andy a local musician who plays on the circuit in Keswick. He is part of a group called Andy & The Swingin Turtles. Can be seen on Monday at The Pocket for open mic night and The Crafty Bar on a Thursday

Recently visited one of our hospitality suppliers Pure Lakes at their production site in Far Sawrey, Ambleside. Had a wonderful tour understanding and observing processes for their handmade natural skincare range, and took part in a candle making course. Well worth a visit.

It’s that time of year again when the Blackberry’s are ripe and reach the point of being picked. Blackberrys are always a nice accompaniment in our fresh fruit salad provided for breakfast.

It’s been a lovely few days of weather in Keswick. On an early morning walk I captured this lovely view of Catbells across Derwentwater

CAN YOU SEE HER ? On the trail walk through Great Wood yesterday a beautiful female red deer. She casually walked off after we had observed each other for a few minutes. A state of profound serenity was experienced in that moment of time.

We had a lovely 11.8km run this week from Goodwin Guest House in Keswick along part of the Threlkeld Railway Path and back in via Latrigg giving this lovely view of Barrow Fell, Causey Pike, Grisedale Pike and Braithwaite
