Lovely B & B with lovely hosts (Trip Advisor Apr 24)
B&B was lovely. Breakfast was really nice and filling with a fresh fruit salad every morning and a lovely full english, option of different breakfast the night before for example a sandwich or veggie. Rooms were lovely, with lovely shampoo and conditioner. Hosts were lovely and welcoming. Offers of dinner and lunch if we wanted as well. Partner is Gluten Free/Coeliac and this was all catered for. Would 100% stay again.
Highly recommend amazing (Trip Advisor Apr 24)
Second stay at Goodwin and it didn’t disappoint! We stayed in room 2 which was a lovely size for a couple, very comfy bed and very quiet on a night time which is perfect for a relaxing break. Breakfasts were amazing, especially the granola! Will definitely visit again when I’m Keswick, we don’t think anywhere can beat it for the value and price. Hosts are also lovely, chatty and welcoming.

Great hosts, Liz and Chris available to chat on places to eat in Keswick and the wider area. A fount of knowledge on good places to walk too.
Breakfast excellent all three days, a great choice.
Rooms perfectly laid out, beds really comfortable.
Cake available for afternoon tea time.

Been visiting Goodwin House now for the last 5-6 years and it never disappoints, rooms are spotless, fantastic breakfast and a great location for walking into town, the weather also behaved which is a nice bonus, hopefully won’t be too long until the next visit

Firstly our arrival was warm, Liz & Chris decorated the breakfast room for me and our friends for significant birthday's. Liz made a lovely evening meal for us at our request and that was tasty and service was fabulous! their homemade cake was absolutely delicious especially with a cuppa! Breakfast choice and breakfast was faultless! They have newly refurbished rooms, mine was cosy and snug with stunning views, perfect room after a day’s walking. Perfect location! My 4th/5th time? I’ll be back!
Another great stay (Trip Advisor March 2024)
This was our third stay at Goodwin House. Chris and Liz are really warm, friendly hosts and do great breakfasts with lots of choice. Goodwin House is well located just 5 minutes walk to the centre of town in a nice quiet location. We look forward to our next visit.
Simply Superb (Trip Advisor Feb 24)
We have just returned from a trip to Keswick, stopping at Goodwin House. This is a superb bed and breakfast ! Liz and Chris made us feel very welcome indeed, we had room 3, Derwentwater which was immaculate. Warm and cosy, comfy bed and the bathroom looked brand new with a large, nice hot shower.
Breakfast was excellent, we didn't need to eat again until tea time ! We met family in Keswick who asked if they could join us for breakfast on their last day. Not a problem at all and they were as impressed as us. Our hosts clearly love the area and have advice on where to go, walks and local eateries. It was only a short walk into Keswick, but really peaceful at night. There is even a drying room for boots and coats after a day of hiking.

Perfect guesthouse with wonderful hosts (Trip Advisor Jan 24)
Great location and close enough to walk into the town centre of Keswick. This was my first time staying at a Guesthouse and Liz and Chris were wonderful hosts. The bedroom was comfy and clean and the breakfasts were great. I would stay here again.

Another brilliant stay at Goodwin House! Chris and Liz as always, providing excellent service at all times. Bedroom very clean, lovely toiletries, fluffy towels and lovely bed linen. No matter what you want they will deliver. Breakfast is tasty and a great selection. We will be returning.

I really enjoyed my stay here! Liz and Chris are wonderful hosts, welcoming, friendly, accommodating and helpful. My room was comfortable and had everything I needed. The breakfast was delicious, especially the perfectly cooked scrambled eggs and homemade Granola. The mince pies that welcomed me one evening were a special touch, very welcome after a long day on the fells! Thank you guys !

Cosy and warm welcome here in biting cold weather. My en-suite room was spotlessly prepared,breakfast was high high quality and prompt, and hosts Chris & Liz couldn't have been more helpful. Great base and handy location while attending a short and intense conference in town, with access to the countryside in five minutes walk

Everything was perfect. The room and en-suite were beautifully clean and fresh, the bed was comfy, and the breakfast was excellent. What more could you want. Oh, and Liz and Chris were very welcoming, friendly and helpful.
Forever part of wonderful memories (Google – Sep 23)
Our stay for 5 nights at Goodwin Guesthouse will forever be a part of the wonderful memories my daughter and I will have of visiting the Lake District. Liz and Chris have created an exceptional guesthouse experience for their guests. From our beautiful and very comfortable room with stunning view of Walla Crag, delicious breakfasts and the friendliness and kindness of the hosts, we couldn't have imagined a more perfect place.

The friendliness and hospitality was very good. The food was lovely and the room was spotless, toiletries and everything was of very good quality. "We are 1 night into a 2 night stay! We don't usually write reviews. The fact is this place is a gem. It is the best BnB we have stayed in by far! Spotlessly clean. Hosts are lovely, friendly and kind. Rooms immaculate and a breakfast to die for. Quality food/tea/coffee etc etc. No issues at all getting parked!! Forget the rest! Book here!
