Our homemade breakfasts are cooked fresh using locally sourced and seasonal ingredients wherever this is possible. Our Cumberland sausage, dry cured bacon and black pudding all come from Thomasons our local butchers in the town and our eggs come from Scales Farm, Embleton where the chickens roam free.
We will aim to provide alternatives to our standard menu to support guests with special dietary requirements, food intolerances or allergies, but please do let us know in advance so we can deliver the best menu for your personal needs.
Breakfast is served from 8am to 9.00am but if you would like an earlier start just let us know the night before and we will always aim to accommodate where possible. You will find a breakfast order form in your room which we ask you to complete and return to us the night before so we can tailor make your breakfast and ensure efficient service to you in the morning.
A pot of Pennington’s Lakeland Blend loose leaf tea or a freshly brewed cafetière of coffee. Decaffeinated tea or coffee is available as well as a selection of herbal teas and infusions and fruit juice. A wide selection of cereals, homemade granola, porridge, Greek yogurt, fresh fruit platter are available for you to enjoy . White or brown toast with a selection of locally produced jams, marmalade and our guests’ favourite 'Blencathra honey' bought locally from the Keswick market.
